Resources

Over the past two-and-a-half decades, I have had the honor and privilege to work with amazing people and companies of the highest integrity. I’ve also worked with people who I wouldn’t feed to my dog and corporate atrocities whose sole reason for being is apparently to separate hard working, good-hearted people from their money.

Fortunately, my pain and checking account decimation is your financial and time-saving windfall. I’ve completed the research, spent the money, and found the companies and people I feel are the best in their respective industries. Simply stated — do business with those listed below. I can say with full confidence that you won’t be disappointed.

Please note that, in some instances, I have an affiliate relationship with a featured company or individual and receive compensation if you purchase products or services from them. As with every business transaction you conduct, and as a jaded Chicagoan, I highly recommend you complete your own due diligence before buying anything from anyone… ever.

That said, put them to work for you. You can thank me later…

Hosting Services

Far too many hosting services go down ALL the time (eh em AWeber). I have never had a problem with any of these two providers and can confidently recommend each.

HostGator is my go-to host. Their customer service rocks and they have an incredibly stable platform. You can’t go wrong with them.

Host Gator

BlueHost is really good because you can create blogs in less than five minutes. They offer a ton of features that others charge extra for.

RackSpace absolutely rocks. Their sites NEVER go down. I’m a big fan.

Building Your Site

Building beautiful, easy-to-navigate sites that can be created in minutes is no longer just a dream. The backbone for nearly every new site is Word Press. To maximize its effectiveness and ease of use, pre-built themes that you can easily modify have become the go-to choice of virtually every designer, website owner, and entrepreneur. Today, there are myriad companies you can turn to for templates. While some are very expensive, others are nearly free. Given the wide range of prices and options, it’s hard to know where to begin. Let me make it very easy for you. Use Elegant Themes. They charge just $69 for the entire year and provide access to a wide variety of templates that are ready to roll. I highly recommend them.

Public Relations

Getting people to know about you, your business, and your products and services is an absolutely essential component of the business marketing landscape. As a media veteran, I can attest that there is no better way to accomplish this objective than to secure guest appearances on radio and tv, in magazines or on a popular website.

Most entrepreneurs believe they have to hire a PR firm on a monthly retainer (of up to $10,000!) to make this happen. This is simply not true. You just need to know what to say, how to say it, and who to say it to. To make this process as easy as possible for you, I have researched the best of the best do-it-yourself programs available and there is no doubt that my friend Christina Daves has created it. It’s called PR For Anyone.

She has spent (literally) hundreds of hours creating this program and it’s unbelievably good. Most importantly, you can put it to use immediately to get the results you want. Click the banner below for more information.

If you’re already comfortable with the PR process and would like to access the names, email addresses, and other contact info you need to jump right into the game, then this is for you. Christina and I have combined our PERSONAL media lists to create a CURRENT database of over 850 media contacts (including those from The Today Show, Good Morning America, and MANY more). At only $247, it’s a steal and will save you HUNDREDS of hours of scouring the internet, trying to connect with folks through LinkedIn and, God forbid, picking up the phone and calling the stations to find out who the right contacts are.

    Graphic Design

Over the years, I have hired hundreds of designers. None are as good, as fast, and as much of an absolute pleasure to work with than Elizabeth Nichols. She is first-class all the way. Tell her I sent ya and she’ll take good care of you. Email Elizabeth HERE.

From the moment I received editorial feedback on the original draft of my first book, Journey To You, and was basically told that “this is the worst book I’ve ever read” I’ve used Hy Bender to turn my diatribes into professionally written works of art that I’m proud to put my name on. Hy taught me early on that there is a huge difference between writing and being a writer. If you’re serious about your craft, get in touch with Hy. He’s the real deal and is an expert at both developmental and grammatical editing. Email Hy HERE.

My second book, Internet Prophets: The World’s Leading Experts Reveal How to Profit Online, was a tough book to create. Though not an anthology, it is based on 25 interviews conducted with incredible personal development, internet marketing, and dot com experts. Turning those interviews into cohesive chapters that flowed within the context of an entire book was no small feat. Enter Seth Czerepak. He helped me make sense of the madness and create what Jay Conrad Levinson of Guerrilla Marketing fame called, “The best marketing book I’ve read in over 20 years.” Seth is a Direct Response Copywriter, Marketing Strategist and author of The 24 Hour Marketing Miracle. He specializes in building automated selling systems that attract a steady flow of new, repeat and referral business.
