Is it ok if I brag a little?

In the first 9 months of the year, we’ve generated over $1.3M in revenue. At this pace (~ $450k/qtr), we’ll hit ~ $1.8M.

Guess what? It took me NINE YEARS to get here.

No — I don’t have a big team. As a matter of fact, outside of ONE incredible assistant (who is 1099’d and doesn’t work solely on my biz) and outside contractors who are brought in as needed, I have ZERO full-time employees.

And… I work (primarily) three days a week — Tuesday-Thursday… from home.

I CREATED this business in a manner that allows me to spend ample time with my wife and kids. I’m proud of the fact that, with the exception of when I’m traveling for business, I’ve been able to walk (or drive) my kids to and from school darn near everyday.

Do we have a huge mansion? No. Could I rent one for pictures…? Of course. But I wouldn’t do that.

Do I have 6 Lambos, 3 Ferraris and 17 Rolexes? No. Could I rent these for a photo shoot…? Of course. But I wouldn’t do that.

So, what do I have? Enough. A roof over my head, food on the table every night, clothes that keep me warm, work that puts fire in my soul… and the love of my family and friends.

I have… enough.

I asked at the beginning of this post if it was ok if I bragged a little. If you’ve made it this far, you’ve clearly granted me permission to do so. Thank you.

In most posts, this is where the sales pitch would come in.

“Hey! If you’d like to do this too… buy my stuff… or go here and set up a time to talk and let’s chat!”

But, the pitch isn’t coming.

The encouragement is.

I understand how tough it can be to stay the course when life and business is hard.

I understand that it’s easier to go and get a job than to stay the course as a solopreneur or small business owner.

I understand that you may earn SIGNIFICANTLY less trying to share and monetize your WHAT than you would pursuing darn near ANY other option.

And, I want you to know that you’re not alone. The struggle is REAL… and, every person who has brought their definition of ‘success’ to fruition has been THIS close to throwing in the towel and giving up… more often than they’d like to publicly admit.

Allow me to publicly admit right now that less than a year ago I had thought about just going out and getting a job.

But this voice inside kept saying…

You CAN do this.

You WILL do this.

You were BORN to do this.

These are the words I want you to hear when you feel like no one else is in your corner.

You CAN do this.

You WILL do this.

You were BORN to do this.

So… stay the course… and do it.

Remember, there are people who are literally PRAYING for you to show up in their lives.

Keep the words above in your head and the vision of that ONE person who is waiting for you in your mind as you continue to press forward.

And, know that I’m your biggest fan.
